Wait, that wasn't Myrna

I have a friend I'll affectionately call 'Myrna'.  Don't judge.  It was her idea.

She. Is. Awesome.  That's really the only way to say it.

She works at a place and I work at a place. The routes of going home from those places sometimes overlap.

One day I was anticipating this cross over and had an instant thought.

As I neared the stop sign where I might see her, there was her car!

Me, being the goofball that I am, hung out the window and started waving FRANTICALLY.  Like a big wave not with just my hand but with my whole shoulder big.

It wasn't her.

Sometimes my instant thoughts are not so good.

But seriously, who would have thought that there would be another car just like hers at that exact spot at that exact same time?  SERIOUSLY?  Not me.

The woman with the curly red hair in the car I was waving at just looked at me like I'd lost my mind.  I also think she gunned it a little, as if she wanted to get away from me.  Rude.

So I called Myrna, and between breaths from laughing hysterically, I asked her if she'd permed her hair and dyed it red, and gotten a nose job, chin implant and you know, basic face reconstruction.

She said no.

My giggling got her giggling and so we sat there on the phone and just giggled about it.

It was awesome.
