Let me tell you about Lu...
She loves to tromp around in my highest of high heels.
She loves all things sparkly, pink, purple and girly.
And she sings to herself. A lot.
She also loves money, and wants to work. I don't know if she's realized money runs the world, which makes me a little sad to think that she may have figured out this fact at such a young age. It must suck to hear 'No' all the time at the store, which then is usually followed by the 'I don't have enough money today' phrase, which may or may not be true depending. Or maybe it's the jingle it makes in her change jar or in one of her many purses. Not sure what it is, but she sure gets it. She's saved up and bought a few treats for herself which equals one happy girl.
This morning she was my helper getting the table set. I've discovered this is a VERY good job for her. Because, this five year old knows who sets where and what they should get when they eat. And where that stuff goes. And is a little particular about how it comes together.
That apple didn't fall far from the tree, did it?
So I put her in charge and I'm a little proud of that, thank you very much.
I'm also going to pay her to do it if she does a good job. And she does do a good job.
Better than her brothers who have been fired. Love em, but sheesh...
She marched herself right in and out of the kitchen, got that table set like she wanted it and then proudly announced , with my high heels on and her hands on her hips, that it was time to eat because she was ready.
Love her.
